What Sets Us Apart?

Playtime That Builds Real Skills
Every project feels like play — whether it's coding lights, building circuits, or creating interactive AI experiences. Behind the fun, kids are learning problem-solving, creativity, and confidence.

Everything Delivered to You
No shopping lists, no stress. We ship a complete kit with all the parts — hoop, sensors, LEDs, and more — right to your door so your child can start building from class one.

Memories That Last
See an optional highlight video that follows kids from their first build steps to the finished game — complete with badges that mark milestones along the way.
How it works?

Reserve Your Spot
Pick 1:1 or a small group session, choose your start date, and confirm your shipping address.

We Ship the Kit
A complete box arrives at your door—mini hoop, ball, microcontroller, sensors, LEDs, buzzer, wires, build materials, and a phone tripod.

Quick Setup & Check
Before the first class, we guide you through a 5-minute setup: clear table space, plug in the board once, and test Zoom. If anything looks off, we help you fix it.

Weekly Live Build Sessions (60–75 min)
Kids join online and build step-by-step with us: wiring the sensor, coding the scoreboard, adding lights/sounds, and customizing their arcade style. It's fun, paced for beginners, and highly interactive.

Capture the Journey
We ship a tripod as part of the kit. Just set it up before class with a smartphone or tablet, and it will automatically record your child's build sessions. At the end, we edit the clips into a short highlight video of their progress

Arcade Night & Beyond
By week six, your child demos a working hoops game they built. We deliver the highlight video, share bonus challenges (timed mode, decorations, LED effects), and your child keeps the game to play proudly at home.
MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I’m Ricky - Your STEM Instructor

I'm an engineer with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Entrepreneurship from
the University of Michigan. Over the years, I've contributed to projects involving Apple, Samsung, Texas Instruments, and other leading technology companies.
But what matters most here isn't the corporate work — it's helping kids discover how fun and creative engineering can be. Too often I see kids
glued to phones or stuck in passive online courses. That's why I created HiWave Kids — where every class is interactive, filled with real projects,
playful videos, and milestone badges that celebrate progress.
When your child joins HiWave Kids, they're not just learning — they're building confidence, curiosity, and the mindset of a problem-solver.
Inspiring Kids Through Play, One Project at a Time
HiWave makes STEAM fun and stress-free with the AI Arcade Challenge. Kids ages 9-14 build their own basketball arcade game while learning coding, AI, and problem-solving. We ship a full kit and recording setup to your door—so kids create, parents enjoy, and families treasure lasting memories.
HAVE MORE QUESTIONS?
The AI Arcade Challenge is designed for kids ages 8-15. At this stage, children have the curiosity, focus, and motor skills to enjoy hands-on building while also grasping beginner AI and coding concepts.
Nope! We ship a complete kit directly to your door — including the hoop, ball, sensors, Arduino/microcontroller, LEDs, buzzer, tripod stand, and build materials. Parents don't need to run around for parts.
- Intro class: Try the first class for just $9.
- First module (6 weeks): Families purchase the core kit for $97 + shipping.
- Second & third modules:For AI features, we’ll provide an additional kit with the hardware needed to make AI work (about $150 + shipping).
After the intro, ongoing enrollment is $120/month, which includes live classes and continued support.
The first kit builds the base arcade game. For the AI modules, kids will need extra hardware (cameras, advanced sensors, etc.) to bring artificial intelligence into their projects. Unlike subscription kits that get delivered and forgotten each month, our kits are reused across future projects, so every purchase keeps building forward.
All you need is a computer or laptop with internet access and Zoom. A smartphone is optional if you’d like to record progress, but we’ll provide a stand for easy setup.
Each module is 6 weeks long, with one live session per week (60-75 minutes). After Module 1, kids will have a fully working arcade hoops game. In Modules 2 and 3, they'll add AI features step by step.
We guide kids live, step by step. If something doesn't work, we'll troubleshoot together. And if the issue is on us (like a tricky part or setup), we'll schedule a one-on-one support session or send replacement parts at no extra cost.
Yes. All components are safe, low-voltage, and designed for supervised learning. Parents don’t need advanced tech knowledge — we make it beginner-friendly.
Not at all. The program is beginner-friendly, with optional bonus challenges for advanced learners.
They’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Basic coding & AI concepts (inputs → logic → outputs)
- How sensors, LEDs, and microcontrollers work
- Creativity by customizing their arcade game
- Confidence from completing a real project they can play and share
We provide recordings and step-by-step instructions, so your child can catch up anytime.
Most programs are just online lessons or one-off projects. We combine live teaching + shipped kits + ongoing AI modules. Kids finish with a working arcade game they actually built, and families get a highlight video to remember the journey.
Classes are 60-75 minutes. Many kids spend an extra 30-60 minutes tinkering or decorating their arcade outside of class.
Younger kids (8-10) may need light help during the first class (like connecting wires). After that, most kids take the lead while parents enjoy watching their progress.
We'll send replacement parts right away — free of charge — so your child can stay on track.
Each kit is designed for one child to build their own arcade. For the best experience (and fewer sibling arguments!), we recommend one kit per child.
Right now, the AI Arcade Challenge is designed for individual families and small group classes online. We may expand to school or group programs in the future.
Yes. Every module is structured to ensure kids complete their build. Even beginners finish with a working arcade game — and later, with AI-powered upgrades they can proudly play and share.
